Filling up your tank is an ordinary part of life. You pull in, fuel up and get back on the road.
But during Couch Oil’s Pump for a Purpose campaign, that everyday stop can mean something more.
Through Pump for a Purpose, Couch Oil is proud to support Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Triangle, an organization helping families stay close and supported while their children receive medical care.
It’s a simple idea: fuel your vehicle while helping fuel support for families right here in our community.
What Is Pump for a Purpose?
Pump for a Purpose turns an everyday fuel purchase into an opportunity to give back.
During the campaign, Couch Oil will donate $0.10 from every gallon purchased at our PURE station at 2905 Hillsborough Road in Durham to Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Triangle.
Simply filling up during the campaign helps contribute to the effort.
One tank at a time. One gallon at a time. It’s a way for our customers and community to be part of something bigger.
Supporting Families When Being Close Matters Most
When a child needs medical care, families often find themselves navigating much more than doctor appointments and hospital visits. They may also need a place to stay, somewhere to rest, a meal or simply a space where they can recharge while remaining close to their child.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Triangle helps provide that support.
Across the Triangle, RMHC Triangle operates residential Ronald McDonald House programs in Durham, Chapel Hill and Raleigh, along with in-hospital Family Rooms at Duke, UNC and WakeMed Children’s Hospitals.
Through its residential Houses and in-hospital Family Rooms, RMHC Triangle provides families with places to stay, rest and recharge while remaining close to children receiving medical care.
It’s work centered on a simple but important idea: helping families stay close when their children need them most.
Every Gallon Becomes Part of Something Bigger
One fill-up may feel like a small action. But Pump for a Purpose is built around what can happen when a community participates together.
Throughout the campaign, each gallon purchased at the participating PURE station adds another $0.10 to Couch Oil’s contribution to RMHC Triangle.
That means something many of us already do — stopping for fuel — becomes another opportunity to support an organization serving children and families throughout our region.
An everyday purchase becomes part of a greater purpose.
A Local Partnership With a Local Purpose
Couch Oil has called Durham home since 1949. More than 75 years later, being part of this community still means more to us than simply doing business here.
It means looking for meaningful ways to support the people and organizations that make our community stronger.
RMHC Triangle provides residential and hospital-based support for families across Durham, Chapel Hill and Raleigh.
Pump for a Purpose brings those local connections together and gives our customers a way to join us in supporting that work.
